To celebrate the release of Lizzo's album Special, Warner Music Germany sought to create an interactive microsite to engage fans, drive album streams, and remind them of their own uniqueness.
I designed and managed the development of the Special Affirmations Memory Game, inspired by the classic matching card game. The game featured 10 custom-designed affirmation cards incorporating uplifting lyrics from the album. Players were challenged to match as many pairs as possible within 40 seconds, interacting with a responsive, dynamic grid.
To deepen the connection to the album, the site integrated with DSPs, allowing users to stream Special while engaging with the game. This seamless blend of music and interaction not only encouraged album plays but also created a memorable and affirming fan experience that aligned perfectly with Lizzo’s empowering message.
